Tulipa House
Colonia de Sant Pere, Artà
2018 – 2021
The place:
Colonia de Sant Pere is a little town in a very special location in the north of the island. Serra d'Arta at the back and Alcudia bay as a main character. The house is located in a new residential area where the style is a mix of mediterranean old houses and new modern homes.
Not a white box
We were commissioned to build a family house with some inputs such as a patio in the middle of the house and the living room on the first floor to have more views.
The first instinct is to avoid views from the street, so the house open views and ventilation to the inside.
Materiality
The facades are finished with lime plaster and the exterior walls are built with the stone from the excavation.
